Learn How an Implant Dentist Can Replace Your Ill-Fitting Dentures
As an implant dentist in East Orange, we can replace your dentures and provide you with a much more secure solution – dental implants. If you are currently wearing dentures and always afraid that they may come loose, you are not alone. This fear prevents many people from doing the activities that they love or even dining in public. Even those with dentures that fit well are often paralyzed by the concern that they will come loose at an inconvenient time. If you are in this situation, you do not have to live like this. We can help by providing you with a tooth replacement that is so secure that you will never have to think about it again.
As an implant dentist, patients often ask us how we can be so confident that the implants will remain in place. It all comes down to science. An implant is comprised of three components: a titanium post, an abutment, and a dental crown. The titanium post is the actual implant that is inserted under the gums and secured to the jawbone. Titanium is a unique material because it is incredibly strong, and the body treats it like natural matter. This means that the bone and implant will fuse together through the process of osseointegration. Essentially, a new root system is created through this process. The jawbone then provides the same level of security and stability to your new tooth that it would to a natural one. It takes a couple of months for osseointegration to take place, and once it does, you will be ready to have the abutment attached to your implant at the surface of your gums. The dental crown will be secured to it for the process to be completed.
Since we are a cosmetic dentist as well, we will ensure that the new crown (the tooth portion of the implant) is created in the right shape, size, and shade to blend in with your surrounding teeth. This will ensure that your replacement teeth look as natural as the surrounding ones or even better. Some people like to use this opportunity to improve their smile, and we are happy to help by completing a teeth whitening procedure before placing the new crown or even repairing other teeth with dental veneers. We can assist with all of your oral health or aesthetic challenges, so feel free to discuss all of them with us.
When you visit our East Orange implant dentist office, we can discuss all of the many benefits of using implants. The obvious ones are the natural look of your new teeth and the ability to eat whatever you want without restriction. However, there are health benefits that take place under the surface. The implant provides stimulation to your jawbone, and this stimulation stops the process of resorption from taking place. Resorption is when calcium is leached from the body to be used elsewhere. It is a natural process that gives people a sunken appearance after tooth loss. Fortunately, we can help to prevent it using dental implants. To learn more about the many benefits, call (973) 542-7597 and schedule a consultation today.

Here are just some of the additional things and protocols that we have been doing since beginning of May, 2020 and what you will see when you come in to minimize the risk of spreading the virus.
We are screening every patient even before they come for possible signs or symptoms of Covid 19 and or recent exposure contacts. If any symptoms are present, patients are respectfully asked not to come in and quarantine themselves until symptoms free
We have increased the time for each appointment and only schedule limited number of patients at a time to:
Decrease wait time
Minimize close space interactions and possible unnecessary risk of exposure in the waiting room.
We have always taken sterilization seriously and everything goes through a very strict and thorough process. On top we now perform extra hard surfaces disinfection of the operatories and commonly used spaces such as door knobs, counter spaces, chair handles, etc.
Once you come in we will ask you to wash your hands properly with soap.
We’ve provided additional hand sanitizer with 99% alcohol gradient that’s superiorly higher then advised minimum 60% alcohol that’s been proven effective against Coronavirus. Still nothing substitutes a thorough 20 sec plus hand soap washing, so handwashing 1st, hand sanitizing 2nd.
All Clinical Personnel are required to wear double masks, face shields and gowns procedure depending.
In case when you come in and there are still other patients in the waiting room please sit on the opposite side. Seating has been separated and measured providing more than 6 feet in between chair groups to follow social distancing guidelines.
Unless you are accompanying a child or a person requiring assistance please don’t come in groups.
We have removed most if not all magazines, various brochures, water and coffee maker from the waiting room to eliminate unnecessary cross contamination. But don’t worry we still have it. Just ask the receptionist for water, coffee or both and we will hand it to you personally.
All Rooms and waiting rooms are equipped with Medical Grade Air Purifiers able to catch extremely small particles, bacteria & various viruses including some of the Covid 19.
All treatment rooms and waiting rooms are being sprayed with Special disinfectant solution proven powerful against Covid 19 and other microorganisms. Thus not only disinfecting hard surfaces but Air as well.
