If you are unable to keep your appointment, please notify us as soon as possible. This courtesy makes it possible to give the appointment to another patient. If you do not cancel 24 hrs in advance a cancellation fee will be applied to your account.

Dr. Khodosh is strong believer in early diagnosis and prevention. Accidents aside, most of the big problems with teeth usually start out small and gradually develop into the bigger, more painful and costly treatments. For example small initial decay could be treated simply and painlessly with small restoration or a filling VS. If treatment is delayed tooth decay/bacteria will grow deep into the tooth leading to a possible nerve damage, abscess and infection in the mouth or weakening of the tooth structure and eventual tooth breakage; all requiring more involved timely and costlier treatment.

Just as well, initial gum disease if detected and treated on time could prevent a lot of future nuisances and headaches in dealing with loose teeth, missing teeth and needed replacement teeth.

That is why we spend a significant amount of time the 1st visit, going through past medical and dental history, taking all necessary x-rays, doing a thorough examination, and then going over all gathered information with the patient addressing each individual concern and formulating a plan for needed treatment, if such need exists.

Your initial dental exam will take around one hour. The expert staff at Roman Khodosh DDS PC will ask you questions, get to know your oral hygiene routine, and listen to your health concerns. We believe in educating patients and empowering them to make good choices to improve their oral health. We will demonstrate how to properly care for your teeth and make additional suggestions as needed. Our dental hygienist will clean your teeth then Dr. Roman Khodosh will complete your examination and make recommendations for proposed dental treatments.

We work to ensure our patients feel comfortable, and that includes minimizing their pain as much as possible. If you are undergoing a dental procedure, Dr. Roman Khodosh will meet with you to discuss your pain tolerance and create a plan for pain management.
